This powerful prayer service, with music and liturgical
movement, celebrates God’s love for us in creating and re-creating new worlds.
The Creation Story is told in soaring poetry, after which we hear John’s account of the new creation (20:1-18), proclaimed by heart. Then Mary of Magdala tells her story of encountering the New Creation in the person of the risen Jesus. As the first disciple of the Risen Christ, and apostle to the apostles, she is sent by him to proclaim the Easter Gospel. Truly, Love propels her to go forth with the message, “I have seen the Lord!” We conclude with prayers and personal commitment to partnering with God for the ongoing creation of our world today.
